Not the Nintendo Wii itself but the classic Wii controllers used for retro and GameCube gaming. The court went in favor of the USA company who had a patent on these controllers apparently before Nintendo and lost having to play 21 million patent-infringement verdict.
At one point Microsoft was sued as well but they had settled the issue before going to court, Anascape was the name of the company that took Nintendo to court.

Just ignore the court and just order a Wii online. It’s just that simple. I have a Wii and I won’t surrender the Wii.
